COASTAL COLLECTION - BEHIND THE SCENES
18KARAT doesn't often show behind-the-scenes of our shoot locations but this particular home is exceptional. The 'Keay House' designed in 1946 by B.C. Binning with Architect Ned Pratt is an early example of international style. Artist, educator and architectural innovator Bertram Charles (B.C.) Binning was a pioneer of the Modernist Movement on the west coast, paving the way for many to come. This light and airy home's use of local wood creates a seamless transition from indoors to out with floor-to-ceiling windows that open to an expansive deck with south facing views to the ocean and impressive douglas trees standing guard.
